Cagrilintide + Semaglutide: Scientific Profile
Publicado el · Actualizado el
A research blend combining cagrilintide (a long-acting amylin analog) with semaglutide (a GLP-1 receptor agonist). Two lyophilized reference compounds, HPLC purity with COA per batch. Exclusively for research (RUO).
Mechanism of action
This blend brings together two long-acting peptides: cagrilintide, an analog of amylin (a hormone co-secreted with insulin), and semaglutide, an agonist of the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor. Amylin participates in satiety signals and in the regulation of gastric emptying; GLP-1, in glucose-dependent insulin secretion and in central satiety. As reference compounds they are studied together to investigate the interaction of both pathways. Material for research; it is not clinical or dosing guidance for people.
Mechanism summary
Combination of two complementary pathways: amylin (cagrilintide) and GLP-1 (semaglutide). Amylin is associated in the literature with satiety and gastric emptying; GLP-1 with glucose-dependent insulin secretion and satiety. The research interest of the combination lies in the study of incretin and amylinergic pathways jointly versus each component separately.
