Transparencia verificable

At EXOMA, each batch comes with documentación verificable: a certificate of analysis (COA) with purity by HPLC and identity by LC-MS. The technical information on this site corresponds to research peptides (Research Use Only) and can be checked against the sources cited.

FAQ

Are peptides illegal in Mexico?

No. Research peptides are legal in Mexico. They are not controlled substances and do not require a prescription for acquisition for research purposes. Research peptides are not classified as controlled substances in Mexico. They are marketed under the «Research Use Only (RUO)» label.

Are peptides steroids?

No. Peptides are short chains of amino acids, completely different from anabolic steroids, which are derived from hormones. They have different mechanisms of action. Peptides act as cellular signalers, while steroids modulate androgen receptors. They are chemically incomparable.

Are all peptides the same regardless of the supplier?

Absolutely not. Purity varies enormously between suppliers. A peptide with 80% purity contains 20% impurities that may be toxic. Only suppliers with HPLC ≥99% and a verifiable COA guarantee quality. HPLC chromatography is the gold standard for verifying purity. EXOMA includes a COA with every product, verifiable online.

Do peptides have serious side effects?

Research peptides generally have favorable safety profiles in the available studies. Side effects are usually mild: redness at the injection site, temporary nausea or headache. BPC-157 has 100+ preclinical studies with no reports of significant toxicity. PT-141 has FDA approval. GH secretagogues such as Ipamorelin are well tolerated in clinical studies.

Do peptides create dependence?

No. Research peptides do not create physical or psychological dependence. Unlike opioids or benzodiazepines, they do not act on reward receptors or generate tolerance. Neither DSIP (sleep), nor Semax/Selank (cognitive), nor BPC-157 (regeneration) show patterns of dependence in the literature.

Is a prescription required to buy peptides?

For research peptides (Research Use Only), no prescription is required in Mexico. These materials are exclusively for scientific research. Research peptides are marketed as laboratory reagents, not as medicines. EXOMA recommends specialized advice for any research protocol.

Are peptides a passing fad?

No. Peptides have decades of research behind them. BPC-157 has been studied since the 1990s, Epithalon since the 1980s (Prof. Khavinson), and several have regulatory approvals (Tesamorelin FDA, PT-141 FDA). PubMed shows thousands of publications on therapeutic peptides.
