Brings together peptides of thymic origin and of innate immunity studied in immunomodulation research: Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1), an N-acetylated 28-residue thymic peptide, and LL-37 (cathelicidin), a 37-amino-acid antimicrobial peptide of innate immunity. It is conceptually related to Tuftsin analogs such as Selank, derived from the Fc fraction of IgG.
