GHK-Cu + KPV: Scientific Profile

Coformulation of GHK-Cu and KPV for research into dermal regeneration and inflammatory modulation.

GHK-Cu + KPV is a combination of two tripeptides widely studied in the field of dermal research and inflammation modulation. It brings together in a single preparation the copper complex GHK-Cu and the tripeptide KPV, two small molecules with complementary mechanisms.

The first component, GHK-Cu, is the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK) bound to a copper (II) ion. The GHK sequence has a high affinity for copper, and the resulting complex acts as a physiological carrier of this metal. In research models, GHK-Cu has been studied for its involvement in extracellular matrix remodeling processes, signaling related to tissue repair, and modulation of gene expression associated with collagen turnover.

The second component, KPV, is the tripeptide lysine-proline-valine, which corresponds to the C-terminal sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). In preclinical models, KPV has been studied for its anti-inflammatory properties, attributed to the modulation of intracellular inflammatory signaling pathways; unlike the full peptide, the KPV fragment does not retain the pigmentary activity of α-MSH.

The combination of both tripeptides is used in research for the joint study of extracellular matrix repair (via the GHK-Cu pathway) and modulation of the inflammatory response (via the KPV pathway), two processes that converge in models of tissue recovery and skin biology.

GHK-Cu + KPV is supplied as a lyophilized powder for reconstitution. Frozen storage protected from light is recommended, along with reconstitution using the sterile diluent indicated in the protocol. This product is offered exclusively as a research reagent (research use only): it is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of any disease, nor for human or veterinary consumption.
